Politburo member praises Houaphane, calls for unity

(KPL) Last week, Mr. Samane Vingakhet, LPRP CC Politburo member who is also in charge of ideology and theory of the Party Central Committee praised the efforts of some Huaphan people in ensuring better lives for themselves, by implementing the Party’s policy, and called for all ethnic groups to unite under this policy.
Mr. Samane talked to leading officials, military personnel, police officers, as well as well known figures, in Huaphan province when he visited on 8 August.
After being briefed about the activities in the areas of socio-economic development, national defence and security by the provincial governor Dr. Khamphan Viphavanh, Mr. Samane praised cadres, Party members, and all parties as well as local people for their efforts in implementing the Party’s policy as well as state laws. He said by doing so they had ensured local security and improvements in people’s living conditions, step by step.
He also told them of the concern of the Party Central Committee and the government for people in outlying mountainous areas and the difficulties they face.
So far the party and the government have put in large amounts of both money and effort into socio-economic development in mountainous areas.
Mr. Samane also called for ethnic people of all social strata to unite and implement the resolution of the eighth party congress and the nation’s laws and regulations.
He asked them to overcome all difficulties to fulfil the cause of national defence and construction.
