First labour medal awarded to Vietnamese Consul General to southern province of Laos
(KPL) Mr. Nguyen Dang Chot, Consul General of Vietnam to the four southern provinces of Laos was awarded with the first labour medal from the Lao government for his contribution to the social-economic development and human resource development in the province of Champassak.
During the four years mission in Laos, Mr. Nguyen Dang Chot also paid all his efforts to enhance the traditional special friendship relation and all round co-operation between the two parties, states and people of Laos and Vietnam, especially between the Champassak province and central and southern provinces of Vietnam. These were a big contribution for infrastructure development and upgrading the economic status of Champassak province.
A ceremony to present the labour medal to Mr. Nguyen Dang Chot was held on 8 August in Champassak province. Mr. Sonesay Siphandone, represented the government of Laos awarded the medal to Mr. Nguyen Dang Chot.
