Savannakhet education executives meet

(KPL) Educational executives in Savannakhet met on 11-13 August to discuss the education of local people in this central province.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Governor of Savannakhet, Dr. Khampheui Phanthachone, and attended by Head of Primary and Kindergarten Schools Department, Ministry of Education, Mr. Chaleune Souvong, and Head of Savannakhet Education Service, Mr. Kamphoune Touphaithoune, along with officials concerned.
‘Education infrastructure has been significantly developed over the last few years. Education has been extended to people in rural areas and series of training courses have been delivered to strengthen local educational officials,” said Dr. Khampheui.
During the three-day meeting the participants assessed the education development of the province in the last one year and its new plan for the 2008-2009 academic year.
