President receives Thai Senate President

(KPL) President Choummaly Sayasone received at his office in Vientiane yesterday a courtesy visit of a high-ranking delegation of Thailand led by Mr. Prasobsook Boondech, President of the Upper House of Thailand.
The Thai delegation arrived here on 13 August for a three day working visit to Laos as guest of Mr. Thongsing Thammavong, President of the National Assembly.
At the talks, President Choummaly praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of the delegation as a big contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship and co-operation between Laos and Thailand, especially between the two legislative bodies.
President Choummaly also expressed his satisfaction to see that the friendship relation and co-operation between Laos and Thailand has been further developed. The exchange of visits between the two countries’ delegations at all levels has constantly improved. The people of the two countries who are living along the border areas still maintain their trade exchange on a regular basis. The trade relation and investment has also seen a broad expansion.
Mr. Prasobsook Boondech expressed pleasure and satisfaction with the warm hospitality given to him by President Choummaly and praised the friendly relations and mutual assistance between the two countries, which have been increasingly nurtured and developed.
Mr. Prasobsook Boondech and his delegation on 14 August also paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh.
