Prime Minister visits flooded Bor-O

(KPL) Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh and Vice Mayor of Vientiane Mr Somvandy Na
thavong visited flooded area at Ban Bor-o, Hadsayfong district, Vientiane.
Mr. Bouasone and his entourage were welcomed by local authorities.
Bor-o is among eight flooded villages in Vientiane due to the rising water in the Mekhong.
Mr Bouasone urged the local authorities to closely monitor the changing water level in the Mekong and the provision of relief aids to the victims and people in flooded areas.
In addition, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Phongsavath Boupha and the high-ranking officials of the Ministry of National Defense also urged the local authorities and people to make their efforts to prevent the flood from spreading to other areas especially the farmland of the local people.
Vientiane has six villages badly flooded including Danekham, Kaolieo, Angyay, Angnoy, Donexingsou and Nonkeo.
