National Assembly celebrates constitution promulgation

(KPL) A meeting to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the Constitution was organised last Friday by the National Assembly to applaud the direction it has given to the Lao PDR and the rights it has given to the people.
The function under the chairmanship of Mr. Thongteun Sayasene, Head of the National Assembly Office has disseminated a number of documents including the 6th resolution, 8th Party Congress and Law on Trade Union.
Mr. Thongteun highlighted a number of targets for implementing the resolution of the 8th Party Congress in order to ensure peace, stability and to promote the trade production.
He also pointed out the importance of the constitution. He said that the Lao PDR’s constitution had clearly determined the political regime, social and economic regimes, the organisation of the State machinery, and rights to self-mastery.
