Vientiane Capital farmers use 1,784 ha for rainy crops plantation
(KPL) Besides rice farming, farmers in Vientiane Capital in this rainy season have actively worked to plant cash crops to support their own family economy.
According to a local source, early this month, Vientiane Capital has already put 1,784 ha, representing 66% of its target of 2,698 ha, under cash crops.
Taking the lead is the district of Hardsaifong with 1,085 ha, 509 ha of which has already planted; Saythany district with 530 ha, Sikhottabong with 265 ha, Sangthong 255 ha, Park Ngum with 238 ha, Nasaithong with 237 ha and Saysettha with 50 ha.
