Flower plantations help generate extra income

(KPL) Some 200 families in Thamouang village, Hardsaifong district, Vientiane Capital, can make an extra income of 400,000 to one million kip a year from horticulture, according to a source in the district.
The source quotes the president of the district Lao Women’s Union, according to the social-economic plan of the district, Thamouang is a village which should focus on planting flowers.
The flowers planted at Thamouang in addition to meeting the needs of the local market, are sold in Vientiane markets.
